The Phase-1 History documents the multi‑year effort by NCSC to establish its new cultural and spiritual center at 1212 Royal Parkway in Euless, TX — from planning and fundraising to zoning approvals, construction, and relocation.
Project Overview (2019–2023)
The Euless Project captures NCSC's journey to build a permanent spiritual and cultural home that can serve the growing Nepali community in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. It spans property acquisition, design, fundraising, permits, construction, and the transition from the Irving campus to the new Euless site.

Euless Project Timeline
2023
- March 3, 2023: Gajur installed, marking a major spiritual milestone for the temple.
- February 20, 2023: Newly elected BOT Chair and Finance VP requested an additional $250,000 loan to complete Phase 1.
2022
- September 25, 2022: BOT approved bank loan up to $1M for Phase 1, temporary loans from Patrons/Trustees, hiring a project manager, and expanding oversight committees.
- September 18, 2022: BOT meeting on new loan postponed due to lack of quorum.
- August 2, 2022: City approved revised grading plan for the Phase 2 area.
- July 31, 2022: Site visit held with Bouddha Guru and community members.
2021
- December 21, 2021: Irving property sold to support Phase 2 of the Euless Project.
- April 24, 2021: Construction kickoff & puja with ~250 attendees; $68,000 raised.
- April 15, 2021: Building permit issued; fire alarm and sprinkler plans approved.
2020
- August 25, 2020: City approved Phase 1 building permit.
- March 24, 2020: City Council approved zoning change to Planned Development (PD).
2019 & 2018
- December 18, 2019: Loan closed for 1212 Royal Pkwy building with 13 guarantors.
- November 15, 2019: Architectural contract signed with Artec Integrated Solutions.
- September 16, 2018: Steering Committee established and major project‑related committees formed.
