
Services Purchase – Terms & Conditions
Please review these terms carefully before booking pujas, priest services, hall rentals, or other offerings from NCSC.
1) Definitions
- “NCSC,” “Temple,” “we,” “us,” “our”: Nepali Cultural & Spiritual Center.
- “You,” “Devotee,” “Patron,” “Renter”: The person or entity purchasing services.
- “Services”: Puja/ritual bookings, priest (pandit) services, religious ceremonies, cultural programs, event hall/facility rentals, educational classes, and related offerings.
- “Samagri”: Ritual materials used in puja/ceremonies.
2) Scope of Services
NCSC offers temple pujas and rituals, priest services on‑site and off‑site, facility and event hall rentals, classes and programs (such as language, music/dance, yoga/meditation), and special festivals and community events. Availability may vary and some services may have prerequisites or seasonal constraints.
3) Booking & Confirmation
- Book through our website, by phone, or at the temple office.
- Payment or deposit may be required to confirm your booking.
- You will receive confirmation with date, time, location, and any required samagri via email/SMS where available.
- NCSC may decline or reschedule bookings for operational, safety, or religious reasons.
4) Fees, Donations & Invoicing
- Fees are listed on our Services page or provided upon request.
- Donations are welcome and typically non‑refundable.
- Some services have suggested dakshina; you may offer additional dakshina to the priest at your discretion.
- Off‑site services may include travel time, mileage, tolls/parking, and additional preparation charges.
- Certain third‑party costs (e.g., rentals, cleaning) may be taxable and will be reflected on invoices/receipts as applicable.
5) Samagri & Setup
- Standard samagri lists are available for many common pujas.
- Some items may be your responsibility to provide (for example fruits, sweets, and flowers).
- NCSC may provide samagri for an additional fee, subject to availability and prior arrangement.
- Please prepare a clean, safe area for rituals, following all fire and safety guidelines for homa/havan.
6) Arrival, Conduct & Dress
- Please arrive 15–30 minutes before your scheduled service time.
- Wear modest attire; shoulders and knees should be covered.
- Maintain decorum, follow priest and volunteer instructions, and avoid disruptive behavior or prohibited substances.
- NCSC may refuse or discontinue services if conduct or conditions are unsafe or disrespectful.
7) Children, Privacy & Photography
- Children are welcome but must be supervised by a responsible adult.
- Photography and video are generally allowed in public areas unless otherwise posted or where they disrupt rituals.
- By attending, you consent to incidental inclusion in event photos/videos used for NCSC’s non‑commercial religious and cultural purposes. Contact us if you require an opt‑out.
8) Accessibility & Safety
NCSC strives to provide reasonable accommodations; please contact us ahead of time for specific needs. You agree to follow all safety rules, including occupancy limits and emergency procedures during events and services.
9) Cancellations & Rescheduling
- By you: Longer notice allows more flexibility for refunds or rescheduling. Closer to the event, samagri and third‑party costs may be non‑refundable.
- By NCSC: We may cancel or reschedule due to priest unavailability, facility issues, severe weather, or religious considerations. You may receive a refund of service fees or choose a new date; NCSC is not liable for your incidental costs.
10) Facility / Event Hall Rental
- Use is limited to religious, cultural, and community events consistent with NCSC values.
- Deposits and final payment schedules will be provided at the time of booking.
- Renter is responsible for setup and cleanup unless a cleaning fee is pre‑paid.
- Certain vendors (caterers, DJs, decorators) may need pre‑approval and insurance as required.
- Alcohol, tobacco, illegal substances, and hazardous décor are prohibited. Open flames require prior approval.
- Extra time or damages may be billed at an hourly rate or deducted from deposits.
11) Refunds & Chargebacks
- Donations, including festival sponsorships, are generally non‑refundable.
- Service refunds follow the cancellation and rescheduling guidelines above.
- Please contact NCSC to resolve disputes before initiating any chargeback. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account suspension and recovery of related fees.
12) Force Majeure
NCSC is not liable for delays or non‑performance caused by events beyond reasonable control (such as acts of God, pandemics, government orders, utility failures, or severe weather). We will work in good faith to reschedule affected services.
13) Religious & Cultural Disclaimer
Rituals and priest services are offered as religious observances; outcomes are not guaranteed. By participating, you agree to do so voluntarily and respectfully in accordance with tradition.
14) Health, Dietary & Allergens
Prasad and meals served at events may contain common allergens such as nuts, dairy, and gluten. Please inform us of allergies; we will attempt reasonable accommodations but cannot guarantee allergen‑free offerings.
15) Liability, Insurance & Compliance
- To the maximum extent permitted by Texas law, NCSC’s liability is limited to the fees you paid for the affected service.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NCSC, its officers, priests, volunteers, and agents from claims arising from your or your guests’ negligence, misuse of facilities, or policy violations.
- For some events, NCSC may require event liability insurance and an Additional Insured endorsement; proof must be provided before the event date.
- You must comply with all applicable laws, city ordinances, and venue rules, including any permits required for fire rituals or large gatherings.
16) Privacy, Data & Updates to Terms
We collect contact and transaction information to provide services, issue receipts, and send updates. We do not sell your personal data. Our Privacy Policy provides additional details and opt‑out options. NCSC may update these Terms at any time; the version posted on our website at the time of booking applies to your purchase.
17) Disputes, Governing Law & Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, with venue in the local county where NCSC is registered. Parties agree to attempt good‑faith informal resolution before formal action.
